Dr. Felton completed his undergraduate degree magna cum laude at Maryville Liberal Arts College in Maryville, Tennessee, and medical school at Meharry Medical College, School of Medicine in Nashville, Tennessee. He completed an obstetrics and gynecology residency at Bridgeport Hospital, Yale New Haven Health, Bridgeport, Connecticut.

During his undergraduate and graduate years, Dr. Felton actively participated in peer teaching and research activity. As a resident, he received first prize for poster presentation at the annual State of Connecticut OB/GYN Residents’ Research Day.

Dr. Felton actively participates in regional and national medical conferences. He holds many certifications, including Neonatal Advanced Life Support, Pre-hospital Trauma Life Support, Advanced Critical Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, and Basic Life Support, which is an asset to him during neonatal resuscitation after birth.

He is also a member of various professional organizations: American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists (AAGL), American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ACOG), American Medical Student Association (AMSA), Student National Medical Association (SNMA), and American Medical Association (AMA).

Dr. Felton has served as both Program Coordinator, Meharry-Vanderbilt Student Alliance P.E.N.C.I.L Program and Vice President, Pamela Williams Peer Tutoring Club at Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee.
