Gallatin Women's Center is excited to announce Dr. John Trussell will begin offering the novel laser therapy, MonaLisa Touch® in September 2023.
MonaLisa Touch® is a non-surgical, non-hormonal alternative for the treatment of Vaginal Atrophy. It is quick, comfortable for patients, requires no downtime and provides patients with relief for up to 12 – 18 months. These symptoms can include dyspareunia, vaginal itching, burning, dryness, and resultant impacts on quality of life.
MonaLisa Touch® works by stimulating the body’s regenerative processes to create more hydrated and healthy cells, and to improve the vascularity of the vaginal mucosa. This improves the integrity and elasticity of the vaginal wall and normalizes pH (increases the acidity) of the vaginal environment.
Most patients experience a noticeable improvement after just one MonaLisa Touch® treatment, however a course of three treatments month apart is recommended.

Announcement:
Dr. Trussell now performing Acessa procedures - Dr. Trussell is the first provider in our area to perform the Acessa procedure. The Acessa procedure allows for a thorough and minimally invasive method of treating your fibroids. It was designed to preserve healthy uterine tissue by focusing treatment only on the fibroid (versus cutting into the uterus or removing it completely) while relieving symptoms caused by fibroids. The medical term for the Acessa procedure is Laparoscopic Radiofrequency Ablation (Lap RFA). Essentially, what the doctor does is deliver heat directly into a fibroid in order to treat the tissue and in turn, relieve your symptoms.
